Can one affect the other negatively? I wouldn't think having a #6 blade in front of a pounder would cause any issues, but what about a #8 or #10 in front of micro dawg/miniD/4" twinkie?

Personally I have never tried putting large blades in front of micro dawgs or anything like that. It is because (just my opinion or theory) the large blades move so much water that it "may" negatively effect the action of whatever rubber you are using. again that is just my thought on the matter and generally only if you are using DBL 10s or 8s. But I know that if you try to match the size of the rubber with the size of the blades that you are using then there should be no problem what so ever. I have made a few this off season with blades in front of rubber and I love it
