I'm just starting out fishing for toothy critters and was wondering what everybody uses to make their own leaders, and where to purchase some supplies. Thanks

People use all kinds of leaders. I like Flouro but 49strand is pretty good too. Try Rollie and Hellen. They have a good selection. Cabelas off shore cat has all you will need too.

I get my fluorocarbon leader materials from Tackle Direct. Have had great luck with 130# fluoro using Jinkai aluminum sleeves(LI) and the Jinkai crimping pliers (SC-2C). Failsafe crimping and you cannot pull these apart. These guys have it all with the exception of the stringease snaps, which I get from Moores lures or Rollie and Helens.
Hope this helps.
