I just realized that if you are cooking a veggie pizza, and if the pizza has a bunch of garlic and cheese on it, and if you close one nostril and take a quick whiff with your other nostril, the lingering after-smell is kinda like the slimey smell of a freshly caught musky.

This discovery made me tear up and cry for a minute...

If I ever had any doubts before, I no longer do. Musky fishing is a condition. It's not something you simply do, it is something you become afflicted with.

And while we're on the subject... Why is it that muskies have a pleasant smell, and pike reek?

Yeah, a veggie pizza just has tomatoes, 3 cheeses, garlic, mushrooms, onions. My wife says it is a pampered chef 3 cheese garden pizza from a pampered chef recipe, whatever that means. She makes them when I get up over 230 pounds in the winter time from eating too many hamburger, sausage, and pepperoni pizzas.
I told her from now on we are calling them musky pizzas. She said whatever...

Those Veggie pizzas are all over the Northland...chicks dig 'em. Now add that thought to the Muskie smell thought.
Yep, winter's a L-O-N-G time going!

Now if only the doctors would recognize it and let us use our HSA's to buy more muskie gear....
