I used both double and single blades on dawgs and dussas and in my experience it caused more follows than strikes. Thats just my opinion though. If I had to pick id say a single blade is best option.n

depending on size and cut of the blade will change how the rubber runs through the water, trial and error is best to find what works. i put at least and oz. egg sinker on the spinner(what ever it may be) trolling them i use 3+ oz. the .040 blades spinn tighter to the shaft producing less lift. and better depth control. even just adding a blade to the back of your jig n plastic produces results.

I built this up yesterday. 8" lunker city minnow. for the front I used a 2oz jig with hook for the top, added a through wire harness w/ back hook and the blades are 8s, chart/copper. Its an idea my buddy turned me onto.

Chaos used to sell a medussa that had cowgirl attached to the front of it. I don't see it in their product line anymore so it must not have been popular. I think a single blade is more traditional but like with most things it's about experimenting to find what works for you and what you are more confident in.

Threw double fluted indiana sixes in front of a mini Medusa for pike in lac suel and had good luck. For reg dawgs and dussas I have a single mag 8 and single mag 10. No bites yet but straight retrieve they thump pretty well.

Yeah single blade gives a nice thump. I like a 10+ blade. Made a dozer out of a TI booty tail this winter. Can't wait to try it this year. I believe that's a #15 Colorado.

I know a guy who takes bucktail wire, makes a 3" section with one end being a split ring to attach to the bait and the top side being a straight loop to tie your line too. He used a single blade usually a 8/9 colarado. He only uses it at the dams when trees a lot of current so the bulldawg can throw off more vibration... I'll try to get a picture...

Taking the bucktail section off of a Mepps Musky Killer and using the blade and body from the Musky Killer and adding it to the front of a bulldawg works pretty well. I put one on a shallow bulldawg and it adds that extra thump fish seem to crave. Also by putting it on a shallow bulldawg allows it to be used for a variety of applications and conditions.
