| First pic:
On this day my 2-year-old toughed out 30 mph winds for about an hour and a half, which was long enough to stick one, boatside, and my daughter saw the whole thing happen, and even "helped" me get the net.
Second pic:
Fishing solo standing in the water, caught this fish (47.5) in the figure-8 at my ankles.

| My favorite catch was by my "little brother", who I have been mentoring since he was 11 years old.
It was in July of 2008. Second time fishing the Big V.
He caught her on a topwater.
She measured 55 inches!!!
He is 6' 3".
My second favorite catch was last year.
Caught this 51 1/2 incher on a topwater, fishing solo, which I do 95% of the time.

Location: New Jersey | I had a couple bigger fish last year but this was by far my favorite. My first year with my own boat last year and after pounding the NJ lakes hard in March and April (we have no closed season), I got this tiger to bite in early May. I was by myself too, which made it pretty cool. Took the pic with a tripod and a timer. Measured 42".

| I would say the 53.5" I caught on Lake St. Clair while fishing with Mike Hulbert this Fall was my favorite. It is my first over 50" and it hit right at the boat, which are just the best strikes in all of fishing.

| My biggest musky. 47.5" We were supposed to go to Kentucky from WV and fish with Chris Haley. Drove to KY line and got a call from Chris that water has got trashed over night. Drove straight home grabbed a boat and drove another hour and hit the river. With gas motor still running the first cast the fish struck.
Next was a heavy 40" fish that I caught in March. Was my third fish of the day. Was a great day. It was a tournament for out club. We got 8 that day and lost 3 more, next day my partner got another to make a 9 fish weekend and we got first and second in tourny.

Location: NoDak | was on call on a weekend, and at noon decided to drive 150 miles to a musky lake, fished for under a hour and a 7 pound pike on a double 10 got me. afet the ER went back out to the lake for my personal best 45 inch with out sqweezing the tail, oops. never bled, never hurt but the ER took longer than i got to fish in the half day.

Didn't get any footage of the fight, only in the net.
Too many hours between fish. |
