Flew on business this week and I'm passing along this story.

Security here in the St. Louis airport did not like the 10" suick that I had next to my laptop in my briefcase. I usually take lures with me when I travel to work on them at night while at the hotel.. In order not to have the lure confiscated, I had to put it in my carry on bag and then I had to check-in the carry on as luggage..

Funny thing is I had no problems with the suick on the return flight. That airport's security guard simply looked it over, made sure it would not open and put it back in my briefcase..

Be safe!!

It happenend to me last winter when I was flying to the MN muskie show. I had some lures to donate to the future anglers of america. I had all my stuff in a carry on luggage in hope of saving the hassle of having to wait for luggage at the other end for nothing. But the border patrol made me check my luggage in just in case I took them out in the flight and started to cut people with them. Man and they let them highjackers walk on with knifes. [:((]

Mr. Mo-Muskies, I think that things would have gone smoother if your bait wasn't tied to a 7' St. Croix!

In the hands of trained professionals, the quality rods manufactured by St. Croix can do amazing things!

A Boga Grip will get a bag search every time. I look forward to the puzzled looks I get while trying to explain its use.

this happens to us all the time when we go fishing in Ireland. Every year we have to open the aluminum case with the depth finder and the two batteries. Every year they ask what this is, what is is used for, ... They must know us by our first name by now! They should set their priorities straight at the airlines' security.
