Location: WI | Here's some of my custom grandmas made for the local musky shop here in appleton
I call them Twisted Grannies. It's a classic grandma that I cut the tail off and fill then epoxy a wire for a tail. This years colors are my takes on classic color patterns. Mr bluegill, glitter perch, hot whitefish, and sucker.

| Very cool, i would think a twister tail that big would take away from the action though? |

| I have done this same thing on a few crankbaits--but the rubber tail definitely does have an effect on the action of the bait. You have to play with them on tail size and where you cut the bait----but you can get them to run with some work----they never work like they did originally---but , that's not always bad as something different could be just the thing. Nice job on those Grandma's. |

Location: WI | Because of the weighting the tail doesn't kill the action. It is a great jerk bait that caught us two 4footers last year. And I have done this with depth raiders also that have awesome action also. |

| I agree, I've done this as well with depthraiders too and those have an awesome action with the right tail. |

| Hey Trophyseeker, when will these be made available at the Sportsman's? I gotta get my hands on the bluegill -- I think you might have done some cranes for them a while back as I have the same pattern on one and it produced me my first (and only) 50 -- see avatar for the pig it got me! Let me know when you plan on making them available in Appleton, PLEASE!

Location: WI | Yeah there for the sportsman. Aswell as 8 colors of custom crane baits. Pics for those soon. I think Rodger used to do the cranes back in the day. Dropped the grandmas off today.

Location: E. Tenn | I try to replace orange tails with olive, or motor oil for a more natural look. Of course I'm fishing pretty clear water.
BTW... nice work!
