I am looking to talk to a guide/s and get some fishing info about the west end of Lake Vermillion. I will be going to the Milwaukee Muskie Expo this Saturday.

Thanks,
Dan

Going up to lake vermilion june 28th through july 5th. Will be my first time up there. Does anyone have any pointers? Good locations, type of baits and colors that work best? I will be staying at everett bay lodge.

I believe a day with a guide on a body of water like that would be a smart investment! Book your first day there, and then you info to go it on your own thereafter.
Luke would be a great guy to go with

DanW, I agree with Clammer. Hire a guide. You will learn a ton and probably have a better shot at catching a big West ender. Luke is unbeatable on that lake. Well, except for maybe a couple of guys. Good luck and let us know how you do up there. BrianF.

Luke is on the lake all year he its not chasing the hot lake.

But he has, a bunch. Miltona, Tonka, Mille Lacs, Vermillion. Nothing wrong with that though - wouldn't you want to fish the best lake for the given conditions or time of the year? My point being it is not necessarily "chasing" a hot bite, it is often planned and well thought out, spending time on lakes that produce better at certain times of the year.

These guys are Top Notch, and may be booked.....With that said, Maybe give Ace a call...he knows the East end (Everetts Bay) as good as anyone out there...He's lived on the Lake For Ever...... Everetts Bay is near Big Muskie Areas...You won't have to go far to find Nice Fish.

Tip #1 From Everett Bay Lodge, back boat out of dock, drive east .5 miles to mouth of Everett Bay, about 100 yds inside the bay you will find the weed edge, fish weed edge and dodge the boats going to the casino.

Tip #2 Look at some of these guides http://www.lakevermilion.com/guides.html
There are plenty of good guides on that lake.

Best advise ever!!
Also if your short on time say 102 days guides pay off much better
