I have been thinking about buying a few crankbaits such as grandmas or Jake's to cast out and "twitch" in. What size or brand seem to be a good choice during the summer months? Im trying to stay between 8-10"s or so. Thanks guys.

8' &/or 10' Slammers would my 1st choice. Big Game makes some very nice cranks for twitching, along with jakes & Granny's.

I have had great luck with 8" Slammers. I am planning on trying 10"ers this year.

Try the grandma "jerk bait " model. Its freaking awesome. Won me and my partner money during a bluebird tourney last summer. I believe it's a 9 "er.

I used to use the 10" jakes, but since the mag shallows have come out they've replaced them for one reason.....ease of use in the 8....they turn much better and my 8 hookups have doubled with big twitchers because of that I feel. Big games I like too, but for moving volumes of water on the "pop" and ease of use in the 8, I goto mag shallows now.
