Location: oswego, il | Caught mine, actually two that day on shabbazoo(known as shabbona back then). I was using a cardianl 3 with a light action rod, 4lb test, casting a floating rapala. They were hybrids and not big but were certainly fun. |

| Mine was on Pewaukee while fishing for largemouth. I was pitching a plastic worm to some lilly pads and ended up with a 40". Two weeks later I caught another fish on a bass size spinnerbait so I decided maybe I should fish for these things. Haven't fished for anything else since.

Location: Eau Claire, WI | I got my first one when I was 14 in Oneil Creek right below the Leinie's brewery in Chippewa Falls.
I was standing on some rocks in the middle of the creek casting a beetle spin into a slack water area and got a undersized fish. My first legal was caught actually while hoping to catch a muskie but I was just out fishing. |

Location: On my favorite lake! | I caught mine throwing a 5 inch rattle spot that they don't make anymore. I was 12 and it was the first time I fished for them. I still have the lure and have retired it. It was a 38 in. |

| 1975 on a Beetle Spin off the dock on Upper Post Lake 25".1ST legal was Sept.25,1977 31" on a 7" yellow Suick,5'3" Fenwick Lunkerstik and a Cardinal 4, 12lb Stren and no leader.I actually still have the combo. I'm thinking of letting my daughter or son use it this year to see if it'll work for 2 generations. If they're anything like mom, they'll be reachin' for the good stuff in no time.Great thread, brought back a lot of memories of a much simpler time.Good Luck this season. Steve |

| I caught my first Muskie on Indian Lake, Ontario on a jointed Red & White River Runt, it was a 36 inch fish and the guide was none other than Andre Fluffe'. I've caught quite a few since then but I'll never forget that very first one. |

Location: Davenport, IA | I caught my first trolling a 10" jointed believer. That was before I knew how deep any of the water was. I didn't even have a fishfinder. |

| There was a local police officer down here a couple years ago draging his big toe in the water and he did land his first musky. I believe the fish was around the 30" range. This guy kept the undersized fish and initially received a fine from the DNR for keeping and undersized fish and catching a fish illegally. The charges were dropped. The gentleman did receive approximately 70 stiches. |
