Location: Elroy, Wisconsin | The late Dave Snoddy of Rhinelander Wis. used salt water spinning rods in the late 60's. The longest I recall were about 9 1/2 ft. Dave tried to convince others to try these long spinning rods. but tradition and short pool cues were the norm.
Dave liked the figure eight advantage these rods gave him and controlling a fish was much easier with a long rod,especially at night. They cast his Snodlow lure so far he had to fish larger lakes as well. lol
