Hi all,
Amidst all of the hullabaloo on tournament fishing, I thought I'd take the time to mention that our Fox River Valley Chapter of Muskies, Inc. is having our 7th Annual Spring Challunge on the Chain release tournament on Saturday April 26th. Based on all of the positive feedbak we received from last years tournament anglers, we have gone to a 2 tournament format this year with a Spring and a Fall tournament. Openings are still available for both tournaments as they are a one day event. We will be paying out over $25K in cash & prizes down to 10th place for each tourney.

More importantly, it's a great time to get out & fish early in the season, unencumbered by Fox Chain boat traffic and have few beers after with some of your musky bretheren! Ask anyone who has fised it before and they will tell you it's a great, relaxing time to fish a well run tournament and have some fun! This is an honor tournament and fish can be judged by anyone on the water, so we are NOT putting the fish in harms way as release of these fish is quick and painless!

You can get additional information off our club website at www.frvmuskie.com

Please feel free to call or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Rich,
For the trophy remember: Golden is spelled with an EN, not an IN, and its not goldberg or stein or anyother things like that. And Florio is just like it sounds.

On March 1st we will do a lottery for boat positions. You've still got a few days to get your entry in the mail and still get in the lottery. After March 1st boat positions will be based on date of receipt. Right now we have 54 boats signed up.

This is a very well run event, and the fishing on the Chain that time of the year is very good. I am going to ask Sue if she wants to fish this one!

Does the entry have to be received by March 1 or postmarked by March 1? We sent our entry in Wed. just not sure it will be there today.

Doc:

We need to receive your entry by March 1st. Because of the delays in the postal system we will pick up mail on Sunday from the PO Box for the lottery. Don't worry too much about it, there have been years where boats at the back of the pack won it.

Luke,

It should have arrived yesterday or today. Can't wait for open water.

Jason and I talked about it last year. Process in motion. Thanks for doing it again this year. Will there be a MF Fantasy Challunge too?
