Do any of them come with spool breaks? Someone was telling me the H-C the black one had a spool break but I didn't think it did.

NO none of the Saltist reels from Daiwa have spool brakes, there is a aftermarket kit that U can install a magnet brake, but I forget the name of the guy that was doing it. Maybe google it, or I posted about it about a year or so ago on this forum, do a search.

I had it done ( "Pikemaster" mentioned it to me as an option)
It was a place called "Hatteras Jacks" (spelling?) down in Carolina. It was like $50+ for the mag. Brake/knob modification and about $20 to ship it both ways. Didn't really work out too well for me. BUT it did help some. Not sure I'd do it again.

I had the Hatteras Jack spool brake installed on my saltist a couple years ago, To be honest I could not tell a bit of difference with or with out it and no matter how it was adjusted. Don't run the spool completely full of line and you will see most of your backlashes go away.
