What is the total length of a pounder if you are hanging it by the front hook anyone know? I am going to build a box for my dawgs but currently all I have is mags and reg dawgs plan to pick a few pounders up but want to make sure its tall enough that the tails don't have out the bottom.

Another dumb question how big are the heads on a pounder? I want to use vinyl gutter to make a dawg box and am not sure if 2.5x2.5 will be to small

Location: Walker, MN		2-1/2" X 2-1/2" downspout material is just big enough for pounders. It takes just a little patience and maybe a little jiggle to get them to slide in but it's better when they are wet. I put mine in 12" long pieces and just let the tails curl up.
