Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Since I was old enough to cast from the shore. I got the itch when a muskie ate one of my bluegills I was reeling in, I caught her with the hook that was in the corner of the bluegills mouth(31incher). This was when I was 11 years old(1972), my first muskie. I have had the itch ever since I realized that they are king of the lake.

Location: Hartford, WI | I started muskie fishing with my dad in 1985 so I guess this will be my 18th season, not bad for only being 26 years old.

| i am now entering my 3rd season of serious muskie fishing |

| Started semi serious ski fishing about 3 or so yrs. ago...used to sit in me Grandads wooden dory on visits while he trolled for skis on the river or on the lake back in the 50s, and hooked one about 30 yrs. ago, but never did get "hooked"; we were concentrating on the babettes and waves too much. I used to read the old Fishing Facts and other mags and think how neat it would be to go to Canada and fish, and maybe someday I will...I also wish that I had headed north at an early age before I got so daggone settled!:( |

| This will be my 17th season started back in 1986 when I was 12 years old. The Musky world has sure changed, just in the time that I have been part of it.

Location: Illinois-Indiana | I got my first taste of Musky fishing when I was 11 years old while fishing with my dad at Lac View Desert. I hooked a monster while we where Walleye fishing off of duck island..........scared the living SH!T out of me, looked like an alligator. All I remember was yelling what is it, what is it while it was thrashing next to the boat, my dad was yelling keep the rod up, keep the rod up. He tried to scoop it twice with our little net and then just as fast as all the excitement started.........it was over.:(
That was my first taste and I've had the "FEVER" ever since.
As soon as I got my license, I was back up there hunting the great creature that got away.
I'm 38 years old now so I guess I've been at it a little while:) |

Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | Started the summer of 1953 on LOTW with my dad. Have been going back every year since(except when in Marines). This will be my 50th year! I guess that should call for a Silver Anniversary party for Muskie fishing. I now stay 4 months in Nestor Falls chasing esox each summer. What a life!
