Just curious if anyone is making a unit with just side imaging? I have found units that are just down imaging.. If not does anyone know if it is a plan for the future? I just got a new bird last year with gps down and sonar and I love it but the more I read about the side imaging the more I want it. Muskie fisherman are never satisfied I guess. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

You don't have side imaging without down imaging. Think of conventional sonar as a cone. Think of imagining as a blade that runs side to side. If it's going side to side, it'll run under the boat in between.
