I know that's a bit of an Oxymoron...

I've been fortunate to spend a lot of time in the boat with some of the "names", and the knowledge, experience, and friendships I've gained is something I wouldn't give back for all the money I've spent on fishing. Learned something from every single one of them. I don't really idolize any of them like some guys do. I have a tremendous amount of respect for their success and experience, though. There are still two who I'd really like to fish with one day. Dick Pearson is one. Though I don't fish LOTW, I enjoyed his book, and I'm sure I could learn a lot from him. The other is Larry Dahlberg. Why? He's the only angler I know of who is nuttier than I am. A day in the boat with a guy like that has got to be a riot.

Thinking of all the top Musky anglers out there, who would you most like to spend a day in the boat with and why?

Marc Thorpe is a super fun person to spend time on the water with, besides the fishing, he is educational and entertaining. I met Homer Leblanc as he used to fish with my grandmother from time to time, but would have loved to fish with him when he was still out on the water. BR

I would like to fish with Al Lindner for muskie and big walleye. Tom Gelb would be cool! Like to spent a few days with Tony Rizzo and Larry Ramsell! Johnson at Lake of the Woods.

Don't know how many of you guys have heard of Lee Snyder? He's a legend around my way in south central PA, guy has pulled some absolute monsters out of some local lakes and is a really good teacher!!! He's 77 now and his health isn't the greatest but his knowledge of trollin up deep water muskys is about as good as you can get!!! Great fisherman and a great guy and really is all about teaching us young guns how its done the right way, and to respect the fish and the water your fishing!!! Got a chance to meet him last weekend can't wait to speak with him again, and had to pick up a copy of his book as well!!! That's who I'd wanna fish with over any angler!!!

I would do anything to get out in the boat with Tony Rizzo! So much musky knowledge and an all around great guy! He doesn't walk around with a musky fishing jersey trying to sell names, he just goes out and fishes muskies! Also Rich Reinert, I've heard that he is guiding again on the Chippewa Flowage, I might have to contact him about getting out for a day! He ranks right up there with the likes of Dave Dorazio, Fred Hirsch, Bill Janney and of course John Dettloff. I would honestly love to spend a day on the water with all of these legendary guides! There is just a ton of experience and knowledge floating around out there on the Chip!

I will certainly second Kate Upton....

Also wish I had the chance to fish with Ed Latiano. I knew the man, but never actually fished with him....God rest his soul!

Nobody today...seems too many are caught up in either numbers, records or advertising...I prefer any old school guys myself.

I'd like to fish with Frank Suick and pick his brain about the early days.

Several years ago I took my family to the Rhinelander Railway Museum. There was an older gentlemen who worked there and we struck up a conversation. He knew the Suick family and for the next 2 hours he told me stories while my kids played. It was a great experience. I love hearing about the early days of musky fishing in Wisconsin. By the way that museum is a very cool, historic place to take the kids.

I'd like to spend some time on the water with Larry Daulbergh!!! I think he could adjust to just about any situation. I'd also like to fish with Puke Ronnestrand, Ty Sennett, and Bob Turgeon. I've fished a couple times with Bob Benson and have advanced greatly after doing so, so any chance I get to fish with him I'll be there! There are many other great anglers both local and nationally and feel there is something to be learned from all of them. Russ

susky musky 32, Lee is a fantastic fisherman, educator, lure maker, and Gentleman. I have the pleasure of knowing him and his wife. A ton of knowledge in that man and a super nice guy too. I pray for his health. His book is educational and enjoyable reading. So many of the above listed I would love to fish with. DD Fenner fishing with me and my Green Bay Packers stuff on would be fun
