Subject: Daiwa lexa 300 for mag dawgs?


Was looking at the 6.3 for mag dawgs? I don't abuse the reel on the cast. Figure might be better to have 2 and switch out if necessary if one breaks down.Thanks for any insight. BR

I'm also thinkin of trying one for mag dawgs and was wondering if they had enough line capacity and are they tough enough.

I was wondering on the durability side of things, think line capacity would be fine with 80lb.

The Lexa 300 is a great reel for the $$$, just don't abuse it, the 6.3 gears will not take alot of stress before they will take set and the reel will sound like a coffee grinder, so no DCG 10, but for taking up slack line, that it can do.

So thumbing the reel is probably a good idea to reduce the stress?
