| I read over some of the "best colors" list, and had to ask you guys what you think the most productive lure out there is. Got to go with a Medussa or Pounder Bull Dawg. |

| The past two seasons my most productive bait has been the Raptor jerkbait, but prior to that it always has been a jerkbait of one kind or another, so jerkbaits/gliders are my go to |

Location: Appleton, WI | the most productive lure in the boat is a bucktail and someone is always throwing a version of it. In early season a small single blade is hard to beat along with a spinner bait to get in the weeds. in the summer a big double bladed bucktail really turns the Green Bay fish on. |

| When I absolutely need to see/catch a fish on a zero day, I'll have an Acid Frog Muskie Treat at the end of my leader. On better days, I'll be slinging a Jr. DCG and/or MI rubber. |

I read over some of the "best colors" list, and had to ask you guys what you think the most productive lure out there is. Got to go with a Medussa or Pounder Bull Dawg.
I'm going to deconstruct this question a little bit.
"What is the most productive lure out there?"
Overall it's an inline bucktail. Why? Guys make more casts with a bucktail when targeting muskies than any other bait.
In my boat it's a DDD. Why? I make more casts with a DDD when targeting muskies than any other bait.
Across the muskie world, if you eliminated the use of bucktails 100% over the course of a season and instead made the same number of casts with a glidebait/crankbait/jerkbait/etc. that are made with bucktails the one that is used the most will be the most productive.
A bait can't be productive if it's not in the water. Inline bucktails are in the water more than any other bait. Overall, they produce the most fish simply because of sheer volume of time they are in the water. |

Location: Contrarian Island | when the window opens there is flat out no better bait than a double bladed bucktail imo... now at any given moment that isn't always the most productive lure, way too many variables to give it to one lure, but day in and day out i'd bet a lot of money if you put a double 10 on your line you'll catch more fish than any other lure on the end of the line the whole time.
ie take 4 great anglers on the same lake, same time, day in and day out, that double 10 will get the most hits imo. |

| I no alot of it is confidence n what ur throwing, but ill never step in another boat for a musky outing without an 8in. Black sucker Hellhound!!!! Many times this year I could at least move fish when nothing else was happenin at all, not to mention how many ate it!!! That or One of Musky Sluts gliders "Swerve" has put sum fish in my boat as well when nothing else would work!!! But then again gliders are my favorite way to fish, so that is what I'm throwing 75% of the time!!! |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I have to agree with Brad on this. A double 9 or 10 blade bucktail is hard to beat.
But if I had to pick another I would go with one of Slammer Tackle's minnow baits. I can't think of a time all season long where I can't catch fish on his baits.
Spring through Fall - Slammer Tackle minnow baits hands down work. Start small and finish big, he has them all. Great baits. |

Location: Detroit River | Last year my most productive was a Bondy bait because about 50 % of my trips were jigging trips. 2nd was a double 8 bucktails, followed by Medussas. Medussas would have won hands down had I not lost so many fish on them.
