Dear Operation Muskie Supporters,

We have some exciting news for 2014. As we all know, the men and women of our US armed forces have (and will continue to) provide us with our freedom as we know it today.

This freedom is something we often take for granted on a day-to-day basis.. however, it is our brave service people who often pay a high price.

This is your opportunity to give back and to say, "thank you" – an opportunity that will not only affect the lives of those who served, but an opportunity for you, as an individual or business, to feel good about supporting those who have supported us.

This is a program with a strong motto… "putting thanks into action."

I would like to present a new opportunity for you or your business. As you know we’ve always done an on-line auction for our major fund raiser on MuskieFirst.com. Well, this year we’ve teamed up with the Milwaukee Musky Expo (MME) and will be hosting a live auction at the show on Friday night, February 14th. The live auction items will be lures, rods, novelty, custom items and a whole lot more.

Our second part of the fundraiser will be sometime in April (TBA). Here’s where we’ll carry out our live on-line auction on MuskieFirst.com. You’ll see items such as guide trips and resort packages to name a few and many more items.

OM and our vets are hopping you’ll continue your support and we’re hoping to even gain new sponsors for our 7th Annual OPERATION MUSKIE. Please remember, the price paid by our service people will never be able to be appropriately reimbursed, however we can certainly show our appreciation and thanks.

100% of the money raised by your donation will help take these vets out on an all-paid trip excursion of a lifetime – a peaceful place where memories and friendships are made.

We would like you to consider in making a donation to OPERATION MUSKIE (OM). This is a program with a strong motto… "putting thanks into action." Each year, many of us volunteer our time and equipment, and take 20 US armed forces veterans on an all-paid, once-in-a-lifetime fishing trip to the Lake of the Woods. This past June, we completed our 6th annual OM trip and have, over the years, provided 120 veterans with some tremendous memories and gratitude for their service. To learn more about Operation Musky, please visit, www.operationmuskie.com. You can also find us on Facebook, Operation Muskie (Non-Profit Organization). Click "Like" and scroll through this past year's event.

I can tell you first hand, this event and organization is top notch. The price paid by our service people will never be able to be appropriately reimbursed, however we can certainly show our appreciation and thanks.

Each annual trip is entirely funded by generous donations from many clubs/organizations, companies and individuals. The only expense incurred by each veteran is the price of gas, necessary to get to Young's Bay, MN. The rest of the trip is an all-paid trip excursion of a lifetime – a peaceful place where memories and friendships are made.

I'm asking you or your organization to consider make the finest donation possible from yourself or your organization.

To recap the 2014 OM fundraising events:
February 14th, 6:00 pm Live Auction – Milwaukee Musky Expo
April (TBA), Live On-Line Auction – MuskieFirst.com

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Todd Forcier

Let's do this, MuskieFIRST Community.

What do you have that you can donate? A lure, a rod? A Reel? A BOX of lures? Maybe a guide day, or any old thing you'd like to donate someone WILL buy at the auction?

It all adds up, and means a vet goes muskie fishing on some very special water on Lake of the Woods. And another, and another, and there you have it...Operation Muskie.

I'm doing what I can to send a Vet fishing and say, 'Thank you".

I'll start. OFM and Suick Lures will offer a Kit of 5- Suick 10" Weagles.

1- MuskieFIRST Long Sleeved T shirt.

Re-donate a Slammer Operation Muskie custom crankbait I bought during the 2012 auction.

A Beav Perka.

You can PM Todd to donate without posting if that's how you roll.

If you have $20 ( or $20K) you would like to donate, PM Todd.

Todd, let us know where to send this stuff.

Every penny goes to taking the vets fishing.

Tackle Industries will be donating 300 CamoD lures (150 reg and 150 mag sizes: suggested donation is $15/lure) to the OM booth to sell during the 3 day show and a one of a kind prototype TI rod. This rod was one of the first ones we made. Cost more than $2000 for this rod prototype for me to make. Not that we will ever be a 100yr old famous tackle company someday but how cool would it be to have one of the first lures or rods in your collection? We will be donating more stuff for the actual OM event but this is what we have for the show. I may also bring a few original signed and #ed SuperD lures. We pulled #1-#10 of each color years ago as they came off the line and I still have more than half of those in a tote. Just need to dig them out.

See you there:

This is a very special organization. As a vet who has gone to operation muskie and a long time musky angler this event helps heal some very deep wounds that we all have. Spending time with fellow veterans that have gone through some of the same things that you have. This forges a friendship that lasts for a long time. Everyone that donates their time, money or products to help raise money are doing it for a great cause. It is a trip that i will always remember and i am currently planning a trip back up to Bay Store with a couple of the vets from last year. Thank you to Operation Muskie.

Great news! Nice Job Todd and Jeff!

You know dang well you can count Llungen Lures in! As a former OM Veteran, I can't stress enough how much this organization means to the great men and women who have served our country. Still one of the best weeks I've had in my life. Matt, Cari, and I will be brining lots of goodies! Maybe even a big lot of our new Nutbuster JR's....

Hey Chris, I heard you acquired Llungen Lures from Chad. I'm sure Chad left to company in great shape for you, congratulations and I can't wait to see what you are doing to really make it yours. Chad did a great job with Operation Muskie and I heard is going back to school to work with other veterans organizations. Gotta love all the families that are related to Operation Muskie.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again at the Milw. show and thank you for all that you are doping to help the future of Operation Muskie.

The Milwaukee Musky Expo and Operation Muskie are proud to announce that John Gillespie will be our auctioneer. John will be helping me with the live auction. You can be sure John will be doing a little story telling about his past experiences on LOTW. Please pass the word and come join us.

I want to remind everyone that donations for our Friday night auction at the Milwaukee Musky show can include framed prints or signs, authenticated or signed musky or outdoors memorabilia, custom and/or patriotic lures and rods, or anything musky fishermen and outdoorsmen would like to have at an auction. We are looking for a diversity of items but also want good quality stuff to auction off. If there are any questions as to whether an item would be good for the auction please feel free to contact Todd Forcier.

Thanks
