| Hello,
I picked up a Dawia Lexa 300 HSL-P for a screaming good Cyber Monday deal on Amazon, and I would like to get a rod to match it. I am in Colorado, and will be using it for pike & tiger musky, possibly lake trout, and maybe a trip or two a year to Nebraska for a real musky. For what I will be using it for, I don't see me throwing more than 3-4oz baits and I will be fishing mostly out of a kayak. I have been looking at a medium heavy rod from Tackle Industries, but I am open to any suggestions. The ability to get the MH rod from Tackle Industries in a 2 piece is a big plus. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Location: Aurora | I think there's a St. Croix big nasty (2 - 6oz) listed on the buy, sell, trade board here but it looks to be a smidge over 9 feet.

Location: Wisconsin | I would look into the okuma guide swim bait rods. I have the 7'10" in heavy action. Its a nice rod for throwing everything. I have the heavy but I think the xh would be perfect. I got it at tackle warehouse.com
Any bass heavy flipping stick would do the trick for a multi species rod too. Big nasty is overkill in my opinion |

| Get a tackle industries 7 foot 6 inch medium heavy rod. Great rod for all your uses including bass swimbaiting and pike fishing. www.tackleindustries.com or I get mine from MTO too. |

| A St Croix Premier 7'6" MH would work pretty good IMO. I dont have a TI but will def be checking them out at the Chicago Show. |

Location: NE PA | If you check bass pro they have some of their musky rods on clearance and can pick one
Up for right around $50 I believe. I would go with a 7-7.5' xh as a good all around rod with that reel |

| Thanks everyone for the replies. After reading your suggestions and doing some research, I pulled the trigger on an Okuma Guide Select Swim Bait rod, model GS-C-761MH. The recommended lure is 1/2 - 5 oz. which should allow me to cast X-rap 12 jerk baits to 4-5 oz. dwags, which is exactly what I wanted. The shorter handle will make it a bit easier to cast from my kayak as well.
