Hiya,

What matters most is does it fit your fishing style... If you or a buddy are fishing in the rear, is it easy enough to do a nice figure 8? Does it have all of the features you are looking for in a big water boat or are you forgoing some options?

Being it is a 20 year old boat, things do wear out even though it may not show much use at all. Fuel lines, livewell hoses, electrical components all age over time and can potentially be issues to consider.

As far as the motor, the best thing I think you could do is at a minimum get a compression test on the cylinders, or...if you can get it in to a mechanic, have a leak-down test performed on it.

After a very thorough going over, I'd consider it given it fits what you are looking for. Lots of good boats out there, and some real steals to be had during the winter months from those who upgraded in the fall or have got their new rig on order after the big sport shows.

No doubt Lund makes a solid rig, and it holds its value and Mercury carries a strong reputation as well.

Better trolling boat than casting. Look for worn rivet heads where they go on the bunks I know someone that had to replace a bunch.
