Why do some pros sell their rigs at the end of each season?

The boat, motor, and trailer are usually sold to the Pro at a 'deal' in exchange for the promotional work performed. Boat and Moror companies have contracts that are very specific as to what is expected.  The Pro sells the boat through a dealer network if that is possible, and on his own if not, hoping to make a few dollars at the end of the year, and get a new rig in time for the tournament season.

It does the boat or motor company little good to have Pros running non-current product, so the motivation to sell is pretty strong.

Check with the larger dealers, that sell the kind of boat your looking for. Most of the pros that sell each year have people waiting for their boats. Check with the dealers, see what boats are not spoken for yet. This is the time to check into it, the new boats will be here soon and some pro's might need to sell yet. Call M&W Marine for Ranger or Lund. I have a direct link on my web site under Sponsors for M&W if you want to see what they are all about. Lots of pro's and lots of boats turned over every year.
