Just came from the boat/musky/walleye/yuppie cruiser/sunglass hut/shine your jewelry polish expo. Can I please have my $7 back!! Oh and my $12 back for parking. Found about 5 good booths and nothing I didn't see last weekend. Why bother? Why not combine the musky expo with the musky show and have one great show? To top it off Down town! I live around here and HATE going down there! Only good thing was it got me to sign up on this board. How's this for my first post on this board! Guess I kinda laid the groundwork for my future post. Anyway Cool site.

I could not make it to that show this year. Looks like a they had a few good booths and some great speakers that you don't get to listen to anywhere else. I really liked the venue in waukesha, I hope they move it back there or better yet madison.

I hear ya Roofer,

Man, what a terrible show. The speaker line up was ok, but as far as location, parking, and vendors, it STANK. Yes, there were a couple of booths, but nothing you can't see at one of the other musky shows. I still don't get why Paul and Rich keep trying to do a show where someone has one already. After last years terrible turnout, am I the only one that doesn't get this.

I am at a loss as to why it was 'terrible'. It wasn't billed as a Muskie show, and wasn't. There were over 100 booths covering walleye, bass, muskie, and salmon/trout, plus a huge Bass Pro Shops display and store. If one was interested in the Walleye Circuits there were four represented; Walleyes for Tomorrow was there too. In Fisherman had a booth there. Mark Romanack and Keith Kavajecz were there, plus some other heavy hitters from the Walleye world. Dan Small was there with his display, and there were probably over 100 fishing boats and nearly that many pleasure boats to look at. Wednesday and Thursday there was a live band and free food for everyone. There was a trout pond and rock climbing display, and lots of events for the kids. Heck, there was even a Crestliner Muskie Edition rig there. The Great Lakes had pretty good representation for the blue water angler, too. There was a garage across the street that was $3.50 to park all day and another about a block away that was $5. $7 for the gate wasn't out of line, IMHO. As I see it, the only drawback was the fact the show was downtown, which can be tough to negotiate some days. the facility was fantastic, and the vendors wanting to deal. The only problem for me in the Patriot Booth and Sue in the MuskieFIRST booth were the quiet weekdays that went until 9:30.
