| Brad Paisley sings "I'm gonna miss her". Not a bad song if you're into that country crap. Wife made me listen to it once. Think it worried her a little! |

Location: hell, IL. | Hmmmmm...some interesting choices. So far the most right on user would have to be Reef Hawg....though I could think of a dozen Misfits songs better than 138 and anyone who picks a Metallica version of anything over Skynard needs his head checked but right on with the Waylon and the Cash song (thank god you didn't say Folsom Prison or Ring of Fire).
Do not listen to 0723!!! Nobody will appreciate dance music out on the lake...nerve rackin' crap. And it's rockabillY with a Y....
Now just go and download these songs and you'll be good to go...
Long haired redneck-David Allen Coe (outlaw country)
It's a long way to the top-AC/DC (rock and frigging roll)
I'm walkin the dog-Charlie Feathers (rockabilly)
The Race is on-George Jones (It's George Freakin Jones..C'Mon!)
Superfly-Curtis Mayfeild (it's just cool)
Mountain Dew-The Stanley Brothers (incase you fish Cave Run)
Workin man blues-Merle Haggard
Nice Boys (don't play R-N-R)-Rose Tattoo
Open all night-Bruce Springsteen(from his most underrated nebraska Album)
Rebel Rouser-Duane Eddy (get's them muskie ready for a rumble)
Gone,Gone,Gone-Carl Perkins (rockabilly legend doing a great song)
The train kept a rollin-The Johhny Burnette Trio (great song for those long days when you swear there are no fish in the lake)
Now there are a bunch of other songs that are good, alot of punk stuff that not alot of people like but that's what I cut my teeth on..but these are all good country, rockabilly and just some bada$$ rock and roll.
Remember...NO DANCE MUSIC...it's embarrassing to the rest of us,save it for the ski boat nerds.
Oh yeah...no Phish or Dead either...take a shower hippies

Location: in the white boat | While I won't advocate the ban of GD or Phish, muskies are all about Chaos and Turmoil (DP), and no music conveys that more than Alice in Chains and TOOL. |

| just sing "The Song That Never Ends", its the only one you'll need till who ever is in the boat with you beats u severly with a 10" suick.

| Phish Killer, you are a hoot. Quite an eclectic selection there, too. Did you work in a record store at one time?
Anyway, I've been giving this thread and the responses some thought and it's hard to disagree with anybody's suggestions except those that suggest certain music is no good. Those bashers are Dead wrong. But there's an exception....johnny hates jazz and so do the muskies. No jazz. Everything else works.
R&B is always good. Funky R&B with horns puts fish in the boat. Start with Little Feat, Waiting for Columbus - a mid-70s live show with Tower of Power backing up Lowell and the boys. |
