I was looking at a brand new LT Big Dawg tonight and I noticed that the cork section directly behind the pistol grip was grenade shaped and thicker than a normal cork handle. Is this a new feature? Also, does anyone find this to be more or less comfortable than other split grip rods?

Don't have the Dawg split grip, but a Slingbalde. REALLY like it, and it took a half day to get used to, but like the new handle angle. my Dawg is an old full cork model

I have the big nasty, sling blade, and jerk all in the split grip and absolutely love em.

The grenade shaped rear cork grip has been on those rods for a few years now. If you don't like the fat cork... Take a little 220 grit sandpaper to it, doesn't take long to shave it down to however big you want it to be... Looks good too. its also an easy way to "clean" cork handles just shave a tiny bit off and they look fresh.
