Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Check out 3 G's resort on Lake George. Not sure if they have cabin dates open. Also, try the resorts on Minoqua and Tomahawk in the Minoqua and Lake Tomahawk area. |

Location: Chicago, IL | I would also second the suggestion of the Chippewa Flowage but I would specifically recommend Johnson’s Resort. It is secluded and quiet and there is a pool. Also, they have an incredible lodge with so many activities that the kids could get lost with games and videos. The cabins are all new and offer a great variety of cost/amenities.
Definitely check out Johnson’s Resort… Hayward is only 20 minutes and will provide good shopping for the ladies in the group.

Location: Greenfield, WI | I have been going to North Twin Lodge for probably 10 years.
It is a great body of water with all sorts of structure types. It has a consistant topwater bite. Even after all these years, I can fish the 3450 acre lake for a week and not get bored. The buildings are very clean, with new appliances, blacktopped basketball court, big clubhouse with cable TV. Shopping is close in the tourist area of Eagle River. The long time owners,
Tom and Kay Hickson are on site and are fabulous people.

My week is the third week in June and has the longest days, is before the bugs are out, and has the water warm enough to swim. Annually, this is one of their most productive weeks to fish muskies. Tom has muskie catch records for the resort going back for many years. The lake also has great walleyes and panfish. They have the best boat slips of any resort that I have ever been at. We can't make it this year so our time is open. Use my name when you talk to Tom.
There is playground equipment and a clean slow tapered sand beach.
Good Luck

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Doc, that resort (North Twin) has two cabins open the 4 of July week. One of my coworkers just booked one of the three that were left. I also spent time on Twin the 4th of July week and its a awsome lake. This year we did not rebook the cabins we had due to lack of money and vac time. We stayed at the Great Escape in Phelps. 1-715-545-2585 is the phone number. Pets welcome and you have your own pier.

Location: Kentucky | I vote for Chippewa Flowage, too. Our family (my parents, my brother and his wife, and occasional others) have been going to Trelands Resort for 4 years now. It's not a small place, but the accomodations are varied and nice and there are activities and a pool, paddle boats, etc. The Chip is gorgeous to fish, and Dave Dorazio or Ty Sennett are excellent guides if you're looking for one. |

Location: IL | # 1 spot in my book is Treelands on the Chip. They have plenty for my kids to do for the week, and plenty of places for the wife to run up the visa. I like the last week of June. |

Location: Hartford, WI | I agree with 7Island. The Presque Isle change is a great place, and for the most part quieter than other places, yet you can go in any direction and in a resonable time have all the things your wife needs. Shopping etc.. etc.. and some great fishing, van vliet is a good lake, but if you want hawgs head over to presque isle and chase the big ones.

| I stayed at Sunrise two or three falls ago for 3 nights. BRING YOUR BOAT if you have one. At that time the boats that came with the cabin were small and NARROW and I took my life into my own hands by standing up and casting. There was gas in the bottom of the boat which my boot soles took a liking to and I had to leave boots outside cabin to air out.
On the plus side, it is quiet. Play area nearby with swings and a small minature golf course. No pool. Presque is a very clear lake. Huge fish come out of there annually but you may want a guide for that water. VanVliet is smaller and weedier. Back then I did not possess the fishing knowledge I own now. NO MOTOR TROLLING ALLOWED ON THESE LAKES. There is a family of deer that come out nightly to feed on the corn that the owners put out for them. Kids will love it. Good luck!!! |

Location: Alsip, Il | I would try Popps Resort on High Falls Flowage near Crivitz, Wisconsin. It is a nice place, you also have Calderon Falls Flowage almost just accross the the road. High Falls is more a trophy musky fishery where Calderon is more a numbers lake. The land around both is own by Wisconsin Power and is about 90 % undevelope. It feels like you are in Canada except there is more boating and fishing pressure. Right next to the resort is Renee's a real nice Supper Club with a bar. There are also other places to eat not too far away. There is a miniture golf course with go-carts only a mile and half away for the kids. They also have a basketball court and tennis court on the resort. Golf courses are near the resort. The resort is only 70 miles north of Green Bay and around 290 miles from Chicago. I still visit there once in awhile but I usually go to Lake Of The Woods in Canada. Thanks, Al |
