Location: New Richmond, WI | Is there a trick to get the eyes to not twist easy after you catch a few fish on he Wiley crankbait. First I want to say I love these crankbaits and will continue to use them. I started trolling more this year because my 13 year old daughter has decided she wants to musky fish. After catching 5-10 fish on these, the eyes start to get real loose and I have to retune baits by aligning the eyes holding the hooks and where the line connects. The eyes are moving just with line pressure or the lure grabbing weeds. They are a real temperamental bait. and everything needs to be aligned just right but I love the results. I have tried superglue and it holds for awhile, can you use a epoxy, tune the lure in the water, let it dry and will it still hold?

epoxy them in. eventually they will loosen again. that's why I changed all of our stuuf to wire thru.
Yep, little drop of two part epoxy will lock them in and also it will seal the hole from water getting in too. Just back out the screw eye about 1/4" and put a little on the threads and screw it back in.
