Does anyone fish out of a Stratos bass boat. i was looking today and found a 20xl with a 225 Merc EFI. it is 20.1 feet and has a 92 inch beam with duel console for $30,198.00. With a trade in it will be around 24,000.00. Is this a good buy or not? Thanks in advance for any help.

Boss, what year is the boat and motor? New or used? If it is a relatively new boat it sounds like a decent price to me. A new 225 HP motor is retails for around 14 to 15 grand.

That sounds like a decent new price but you can probably buy that boat off www.wmi.org/bassfish less then one year old for about $24,000. Great looking boat. Did you see the ltd edition ASX?? Wow that's a great looking rocket.

The boat and motor are new 2003. I was thinking about buying a used boat but i dont trust used boats. i know way to mny people that have bought used cars and boats that have had nothing but but bad things go wrong. Plus if its only goning to save me about 5 grand then I would rather just pay for a new boat. thanks for the advice

I fished out of a Stratos two years ago in the PMTT.
Was a nice boat with a nice ride.

www.nadaguides.com will give you "blue book" low, mid, and high price values. At least a good point of reference. m

Is it the Statos or the Javilin Stratos? The ones that were Javilin's are a step down in technology, materials and quality the the original Stratos line. What Genmar did is combine the 2 companies into one with their "Budget" line being the old Javilin line and the "Tournement Boats" being the original Stratos line. The Statos boats were always good product while I've heard some questionable things about the Javilin.
