| For those of you who have custom rods built for blades, ide like to know which blanks etc you have them built on. I have a number of custom rods already just looking at having another built over the winter. |

| I have both an XH and an X Predator done by Lonnie at TB that see blade action. If you cut 2 inches off the top of an H its the best blade rod out there IMHO. Mine is a stock 9 but I have friends who have the 2 inch off version that I have used and they are sweet. Super fly wieght with plenty of back bone. I have a "Stock" Big Nasty and like the blank too but its almost a hair stiff in the tip for my preference for 10 Blades but its a dyanmite stick too would make a nice custom for sure. I also have a an 8'6 Sling Blade. I have considereed doign a 9 foot version of this as a custom for 10 blades and smaller. would be an awesome rod... |

| I run a 9'6 Predator with 1" off the tip as my primary blade rod. Launches DCG like a cannon. A tad soft in the tip for 13s in the 8 though. I also run the 9' H with 2" off the tip. Awesome rod. If you are going custom you can get as specialized as you want.
I'm not a fan of handles longer than 16". IMO, it is a pain to transition to the 8, but that is just my mileage. Look into the new reel seat St. Croix is using. Great addition for the Figure 8 as it lets you choke up a bit with ease. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | My "custom" builds are from T.I. I run the MH & the XH for my blade rods. I can throw a smaller Mepps with the MH. If I run the Dbl 13's I go to the XXH |

Location: Elk River Mn | I have a TB Predator. 9'3'' with a 19'' handle, and 1'' trimmed from the tip. I throw up to 10's with it. But the nice part is that I can sling tiny buck tails a mile with it. Its amazing how much this rod works for you. |
