I have been to both musky shows so far, chicago and milwaukee. At both of them, there is a table to sign up to win a trip. Well, you don't win a trip you qualify to pay 500 bucks to go on a trip. They don't take no for an answer and get annoyed when you don't want to go. Don't fill out that white slip of paper on that clipboard when he hands it to you and does not tell you what you are signing up for.

I just set the phone down and waited for the annoying beep, beep, beep, sound that lets you know the phone isn't hung up. Otherwise, I give the phone to my son. They never call again after they've wasted time talking to my two year old. If you really want to make them happy, say, "Yes, I'd love to go on a trip! Please wait while I get my credit card number for you." Then put the phone down and go eat dinner, after about 20 minutes they'll figure out you're not interested.
It's nice to turn the tables on them, they interupt your life and waste your time, so waste theirs. It's the only way to hit them in the pocketbook.

My favorite thing to do is act like I heard them wrong. Your going to give me $500 for going on a seven day seven night trip? When they ask you for your credit card tell them you only accept cash or check. This usually gets them confused its really fun. I love playing this game with the Phone companies your going to pay me 5 cents a minute to use your long distance company. Great fun!
