Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I took all your comments and suggestions and re did the lure. Same tail part as before but now a low hanging screw eye and glow in the dark eyes. Wire has been thickened to.

How did you cut the slot in the bait for the metal tail?

I used a hand saw and then sanded it out and filled it in with that wood filler stuff then painted it and epoxied it.

Yes the weight is on the back of the black body.

I used Cedar wood and sealed it before i painted it.
