| The time is almost upon us...the day that will make or break us is only 2 days away...some will come away winners, some will sink deeper into despair...new relations may blossom, while others may become yet another casualty in the never ending battle of love...a day that should have never been...a day that men agonize over, wondering if they did enough for their mate; many will wait 'til the last minute, an unfortunate few will do nothing, and suffer greatly from their indecision...I quake w/ fear meself- just 3 days ago, me wife, out of the blue, looked at me and said "Don't worry about getting me anything this year"...I said nothing, just looked out the windshield as if I never heard her...what could she have meant by that remark? For a brief moment, I thought "Yeah Baby!!!", but then just as quickly realized that there was a hidden meaning in what she said, and now I must seek that which she desires, yet I have no idea what that might be...so in approximately 5-7 minutes, I'll have to wander the isles of Waldo Mart to find that perfect "thing"...basically what I'm trying to say is VALENTINES DAY IS ON FRIDAY, SO DON'T FORGET, OR YOU WILL SUFFER EVEN MORE THAN NORMAL!!!! Now I must shop_____________:( | |

| Daggone dude!!!! And to think you were the one I felt for the most...after I left the house, I thought "daggone dude, I bet Slamr really will have to scramble and spend for this special(in the eyes of women)day, wonder what he will do?" I was heading to Waldo Mart, but started thinking about what Spongette said, so I ended up hitting the flower shop; I'll swing by her office Friday morning and drop them off at the main desk. She has been working on terrorism programs and their security is tight, so I may just set the flowers outside the door, beat on the window and run off...hopefully they will see the tag and take them up to her. I even got her a card to put on the dining room table when she gets home. Pretty cool card too; has 3 folding sections and has fish scenes on them, and I think on the front it has a night crawler also, I can't check 'cause I already sealed it. They may be goldfish...got it at K-Mart if anyone wants to check them out!
***It does have a night crawler on the front, on a hook! Daggone cool card; has a heart in the upper left corner that says "To th WOMAN I MARRIED", and the dude fish is holding the fishing line by his left fin showing his wife the worm and hook. If your in KMart, check them out.

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Just a thought for those of you who spend all your $$$ at the Chicago and Milwaukee shows....get a card for the lady friend/wife, and write at LEAST a whole page of the goods telling her how you feel. Tell her you WERE going to get her a bunch of stuff, but you thought it meant NOTHING in comparison to how you feel about her everyday. Probably NOT a good idea to say, "sorry, you didnt get anything, but I'm broke!"

| DAGGONE GOOD POINT SLAMR!!! You have learned at a "young" age what many of us will never learn. They know you are broke, but they also know HOW you got broke; this is no time for deception! Do whatever it takes, and realize that they shouldn't forget the sacrifice you make for this silly day, plus you can use it as a bargaining chip for later stuff if you play it right! While we're on the subject, anybody know how this whole V DAY thing got started? You'd think the women would be grateful that we took them in, put clothes on their back, TV dinners in their laps and a mobile home over their heads! That alone should show them that we care...were I in their place, I would seriously wonder why the men try and cram a years worth of lovey dovey into one day! As for me, I shall stand firm...a card, a small token of botanical appreciation, a hug, a peck on the cheek, and an exquisite dining experience at Western Sizzilin', where i'll lean over, thank her for being a good sponge, and whisper "thank goodness...it's almost over!" | |

| Lol Todd! You are fortunate; Friday is more stressful than Christmas for many, me included!:( You ever see a woman take a V-Day gift back, you can rest assured that there is a MAJOR screw up in the makings...:O | |

| Best of hopes to you me friend...I got the wifester a new ride 1.5 yrs. ago...I'm STILL in her cross hairs...the MONKEY on me back has a death grip on me, and appears will be there 'til I take me last breath!!! Nonetheless, I will continue to struggle in an a vain effort to free myself, and have found that carrying bananas around w/ me helps somewhat....now I must rest_________) | |

Location: Illinois-Indiana | Hey Slamr,
Nice picture!!!!!!!!!!
Valentines Day is just another one of those "HALLMARK HOLIDAY'S"
I'm sick and tired of hearing those commercials about getting her that "SOMETHING SPECIAL" in that little box.
When are they going to have a holiday for "US"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GET YOUR MAN THAT "SOMETHING SPECIAL" .............. "A BRAND NEW BOAT":)

| I'm w/ you Ralph, but I know better than to join the rebellion that openly!;) I prefer less obvious tactics and the subtle ambush aproach...
Da da Da da Da da...dude-a-loo...dude-a-loo...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! I walk in the kitchen, she is standing there stirring coffee; looking pretty daggone good too considering she had a towel wrapped up on her wet head...I said "Hey, Happy V Day"...she turns and says "thank you, you too"...I hand her the card, she says "I told you not to do anything, now I feel bad not getting you anything"...I look her straight in the eye and reply "It's ok, this is your day!", knowing full well I was on my way to future trips etc...she actually liked the fish/worm combo card....
BUT--that's not all! At 9:00a.m., I went by the flower shop, picked up me purchase and drove it to her office complex; didn't even have to use the outside phone, the doors clicked and I was going in...by the time I got home, there was a message on the machine...to make a long story short, I have been elevated to the status of a "Knight In White Satin", and will singing "Ooooooh, what a lucky man he was" for months to come! Love it dude, I pulled it off! It's still NOT TOO LATE...do what it takes to invest in your future TODAY....
