Gelb's book is good. Non-muskie but fishing related:
Old Man and the Sea
Islands in the Stream
Big Two Hearted River
The River Why
A River Runs Through It
The Longest Silence

The Quest for Girthra by John Minich. His writing style is unique, his observations are very poignant and humorous. And I second The Old Man and the Sea!

Tom Gelb's musky book is pretty good and Jim Saric's book is nice. I like to read Larry Ramsell's two big books. Fun to read about giant musky and history.

Well it's a little over a year since my original post and I'm looking for something to read again. I had already read Old Man and the Sea 10 times and A River Runs Through it 2 or 3 times. I think I'm going to look for "Time on the Water" and purchase it. Thanks for the recommendations.
Follow up post. $80 for Time on The Water? Guess it's hard to come by. Not going to buy it for that price. But I'll spend that on my next 3 muskie lures...
In the winter I'm bored enough to read anything muskie related but especially like tracking studies and seeing how differently muskies seem to behave in different water bodies

Tom Gelb’s book. It’s a really easy read, and is pretty straight forward but he has all kinds of nuggets hidden in there. I enjoyed Dick Pearson’s Muskies on the Shield although I do not find it applying to where I fish. Still a good read though.
