So with the recent thread about spoons being to costly to make for a basement guy, I have been thinking about alternatives for production.

Does a spoon get its wobble from the concave side [ => ) ], convex side [ => ( ] or both?

I want to say the convex side gives it the wobble/action and the concave side is just there because of the punching process. Then I think about it again and it seems like it may be both.

I figured I would ask here before I wasted too much time/material when I do get some free time.

Location: Muskegon Michigan		I used to hand Hammer big spoons out of .050 Brass. My brother built a cool little spoon using a forming die that made them s shaped. Experiment. Its fun. The cupped end of a standard spoon pushes the back end of the spoon out then they just turn. That gives you the side to side flop. You can twist metal and it acts different. Simple bends do even more tricks.
