| In the past I have always used Priority mail but it is like $5.05 and more to ship 1 lure in a small Prority Mail box now..............That is just so expensive for one or two lures...It really prevents many individual lures from being sold..... ..I see a few people charging $2 or $3 How can you ship that cheap? First class? Thanks Mike |

Location: Land of the Musky | First class in a bubble mailer. Make sure you use hook protectors though. Real easy for a mail carrier to put a hook through their hand and if they did, they would come looking for you for the medial bills... Also, wrap it in newspaper a few times just for fun.. |

Location: Oregon | I usually ship everything in the priority envelopes. The envelopes are free and the postage is about $6 but it will be delivered in less than 3 business days which I find incredible for the price.

Priority mail ships at over 13 ounces, so try and keep weight under that and ship 1st class. I like to ship baits without hooks. 99 times out of 100, have my own combo hook setup. Most manufacturers hooks are cheap to keep costs down on baits for the most part. Try using a brown paper bag, cut in half, and tape securely with packaging tape. If your shipping pounders....your SOL!!! Most guys charge 3-4$ Shipping to get you to bite Never ship parcel post with the usps. It can take 7-10 days. If it is returned, you will have to cover the postage 1st class , to get package back. Your right tackle industries , James...mail carriers know what site you frequent...:) |

Location: Okoboji | cost of selling a lure, if you want to sell a lure or two just split it with the buyer.
but your right, it seems that the cost constantly goes up! |

Location: Quebec, Canada | On a related note, how come a lot of sellers won't ship elsewhere than in the lower 48? I mean, I've offered a couple of times to pay the extra and people won't change their mind? Also, how much is the shipping cost for rods? |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I would rather receive baits without hooks than have sender wrap the hooks with black tape or the worst ductape and ship them. Stick 1" pieces of plastic worms on each point and leave a 1/2" at the top or keep the hooks and just ship the bait body. Just sayin |

| I've always just sent everything first class, either with a clamshell case inside a box, or with the lure wrapped in paper or bubble wrap inside a box. For hooks to poke through, you'd literally have to step on the box or drive over it or something. Not that I'd put it past the P.O. to do either of those, but I've never and an issue buying or selling lures. Typically costs around $4-$5 to ship a lure if I remember correctly. |
