Anyone have any suggestions for a northern WI resort that has an American Plan with private cabins? I frequent one in Park Falls yearly, but looking for a new spot.

thanks and appreciate sending me in the right direction.

Tight lines!

How about sites that have good food? There is nothing like coming off the water to an awesome meal. To those that are looking i do suggest Boyds Mason Resort in Fifield WI. Some of the best food i have ever had.

any suggestions?

Alpine Resort might be worth a look. My wife and I had a nice stay there a few years back. www.alpine-resort.com

I have been contemplating Alpine. Quite a hike from Chicago. Hows the Muskie?

Hintz North Star is new to me. Looks ideal with the private cottages. Hows the Muskie action? Never heard of the lake either... Anyone else fish here?

Ross's Teal Lake Lodge has American plans I think. Good musky water if not looking for a 48"+.

The Alpine is on Van Vliet, from which you can navigate into Presque Isle. Both have good muskie fishing. VV is "easier" than PI, but it's probably not accurate to describe either as "action water". Sizes will tend to run above-average, though.
