Location: Minneapolis, MN | My brother in-law is saying that muskies don't like to bite once the water temps get below 40 and he's quoting some musky/pike book from the 90's. Anyone have something I can use as proof that they still do bite so I can make a stronger argument to go fishing this weekend? |

Location: oswego, il | I cannot recall being bitten by a musky when the water temps fell below 40. I have caught many in sub 40 degree temps on live bait and artificial but none of them ever acted on their inner Marv Albert.

Location: Smith Creek | I caught one yesterday, the temp was 36.
It tried to bite me but I wouldn't let it.
I'm sure Sworrall has vids of muskies eating his jigs while ice fishing. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Caught a few on tip ups, and they do attack our ice sets now and again. They also eat bluegills we toss back down the hole on a couple small lake cribs we fish. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Well it's kind of a moot point now, as my dad decided to winterize, unless anyone has an open spot in their boat this weekend in the Twin Cities region. |

Location: Maine Township, MN | Caught a 42" last Jan. through the ice on a walleye jig and minnow. Was awesome on 8lb test and a Lady's Ugly Stik ice combo!
Interesting note, was using my HDS-5 mounted to the Lowrance Ice Pack and saw a HUGE bait cloud move through just before hearing the bobber go "PLOOP" under the ice...

If this is true....they would all be dead come spring! They gotta eat. |
