I put a Abu power handle on my 401TE. I have enough old Abus around to find a acorn nut and nut keeper to make work.

My preference is the trinidad 12/14 handle with the improved counterweight from Dave's Reel Service.

Ya look at daves reel service web page, he's got images of a lot of reels with a ton of different options. I have a non-counterbalanced one right from shimano, only had it enguage on a cast one time, but I think those counterbalance weights should be good at eliminating that.

Love it! Cost about $50 but well worth it after a full day of fishing. After I got my TE power handle I bought them for my Abu and Okuma reels too.
