| Will the braid not eat into the epoxy and potentially fray it? I just bought a new guide, well a bunch of new guides in case others break, so now I have replacements. |

Location: Ontario | Happened to me 2 weeks ago, James recommended epoxy and while it clean after you insert new one in. |

| Do not use epoxy, epoxy is not glue. Use super glue on the inside of rig and snap it back in wipe off excess |

Location: Detroit River | You are better off replacing the guide. Most rod builders can do it for you for $10 or less. I accidentally kicked my TI XH rod while it was on the floor of my boat & had 2 of the inserts pop out & I had the guides replaced. |

This. No point in using a glue or epoxy that needs 24 hours to set and will fail shortly after. |

Location: oswego, il | This has happened to several rods that I own. I used JB Weld and carefully applied it to the snapped in insert around the outside, even application smoothed out. Never had one pop out.
here is a question can you buy just the inserts? |

For TI rods, contact James, I have purchased some from him. |

Location: Land of the Musky | FYI-I do have a few extra rings. For the customer who have broken out a ring they have yet to have one come out by using the two part epoxy. I have also used this method on some of my older rods (Diamondback VIP and an Okuma) and have yet to have one come out. The VIP was fixed about 10 years ago too.
Just a side note but, after talking with many rod companies I found out this is the #1 complaint (broken guide rings). For this reason, TI is moving all rods over to a new guide with alloy rings. Our current 7 and 76 rods already have them and our new 86 rods that will be ready in 2 weeks will have them too. The 9' rods will move over to them withing the next 6 months or so. Should be a positive move and I know a few of the other rod brands are slowly moving some of their rods to alloy rings too. |

| James, What kind of alloy guides are you transitioning to on your rods? |

Location: Twin Cities, MN | I had this issue with 2 guides. James was kind enough to send me some replacement inner rings, but I ended up getting them replaced outright with all new guides, just for piece of mind.
