Location: Kalamazoo, MI | Ask again next year! This will be my first full year of musky fishing(didnt start hunting them until late August of last year), but I ordered some squids in sizes ranging from 4.5" to 8". I plan to try them by themselves, as well as use them for inline spinnerbaits.

Location: mount prospect illinois | Bass Pro is selling some baits that i think were originally designed for salt water that work well for Muskie. They are jointed cranks and i know two colors are Blue Mackerel and pilchard (sp?). I caught a 39" on the Blue Mackerel crank this past year. No reason other "salt water" lures wouldnt work. |

| Check out the BP slat section like DaveP said...Cairns baits, Yo-zuri Hydro Pencil darting baits, the larger MirrOlures, Manns Stretch series in 18,25 and 30'...I'll check me old catalogs and see what else. These baits range from $5-$20 and up. |

Location: Kawartha Lakes, Ontario | Saltwater baits are a great resource for new and different ways to catch muskies. You can find lures that muskies have not seen before (both hard baits and soft plastics). I've been using the Mann's Stretch + series lures with great success. They also make an 18" model that dives to 50 feet (named Giganticus). I haven't personally fished this beast yet, but it has some potential. Rapala offers magnum saltwater versions of their minnowbaits as well. Although saltwater baits can sometimes be difficult to obtain, they offer alternatives to traditional muskie fishing methods. All you have to do is look around.

Location: oswego, il | Theres all kinds of stuff. Some of the saltwater trolling baits are pretty pricey and they are built for speed. Cabelas and Bass Pro both have saltwater sections and theres some cool stuff to make spinners with too.
As far as lures from other countries. Europe has alot of great pike stuff. They have way more gliders makers than we do. Most are of a smaller variety with a 7" one being big. |
