I don't get to fish as much as I would like to but I had the best year ever so far.
Caught 3: 36.5", 24", 32"
Follows 4
Hooked up a low to mid 40" fish two weeks ago and it jumped and spit the hook 10ft from the boat.. Seeing 8 fish definitely increased my confidence and I am starting to narrow my baits down to what works in my areas. I will have a few baits up for sale soon. Cant wait for next year!

Not a great numbers year. But I guess with medic school and work I can't complain. 23 muskies with 5 over 40". Biggest 45" in June in the UP. Hopefully I will get out a little more next year.

Thought mine was over, put the boat away, but just found out I am headed to Hayward next week. First time November fishing for me, so I am pumped. Hopefully can add to my count!! Maybe a big fall beast???

Got my first Musky ever this spring, took me 4 hard years of Musky fishing before I finally sealed the deal on my first fish and it was in a figure 8. Lots of follows and missed fish the first few years. The time and patients has finally paid off though as I have 11 Muskies under my belt so far this year. A couple of mid to upper 40 fish too while fishing by myself. Two of them I got while fishing with Larry Jones on Chautauqua. That was my best day Musky fishing as my buddy, Larry, and I put four in the boat. The year isn't over yet and I will be chucking baits and trolling till ice up.

Haven't got out much, 50.5, 38, and 20-30 follows. I use a heck of alot of gliders, but still need to work of converting those follows to strikes.

Good Luck next season!

I only made it out 4 times this year for no more than a few hours at a pop and have a great big goose egg to show for it. As much as I wish I could be out on the water everyday, the kid and the new house take priority.

I did have a 4 follows, though. It was just enough to give me that false sense of optimism to keep me wanting to go back out.

I've sort of been continuing to live under whatever curse has been separating me from the guys who take home tournament trophies, but outside of tournaments, I feel certain that I have clearly had the best year of the last three or four without a doubt. Honestly, I had a really nice year with lots of fish!

I have only been out targeting muskies twice this year. Once was for a family vacation, and I had about 15 follows in 5 days, and a 47" in the bag. The other trip out we didn't find anything other than bass. Going out on Saturday though, so I hope to put one in the bag, and maybe see one or two others.

rough year for me this year. Boated 6 fish, half of those when I was on LOTW for a week. 28", 36",32", 38", 41", and 43". Had probably 35-40 follows and a handful of hookups including a mid 40" fish that was a real heartbreaker on the last day at LOTW. It doesn't sound terrible, but the number of hours I put on the water this year is ridiculous (I have been on the water probably 100 days this year). I did boat a bunch or really nice pike this year however with my largest going 38". I am hoping to improve on these numbers next week as LSC. (fingers Crossed) My PB is the 43" mentioned above, so I have that as a positive. I am hoping to improve on that next week.

Boated 6 between 32 - 38" 4 casting, 2 trolling. 3 other follows, 1 hooked and off. 10 fish seen the whole season.

Probabaly had 20-30 quality hrs in the boat. Usually fish 3 hr stints, and was without a fishing boat until end of September (missed pretty much the whole summer season)

I think I did good for the cards I had dealt.

season isn't over in southern WI but boat total is a little over 60 right now..... lowest total since 2004...but the # of hours on the water is the lowest since then too....( I wish guides would share the # of hours they put in ).. put a fish in the net every ~5 hours this year... some highlights though were my buddy Mikie putting his PB 52.5 slob in the boat 4 hours into his 1st trip to Minny, my biggest WI fish, and a crazy 10 fish hitting the net in a 3 hour window... fish were in a funk more times than not but still a good year on the water with friends...beats sittin in the office! good luck to those still getting out..be safe.

I beat my record again for numbers of fish with 26 hitting the net. Also less time on the water than normal. I lost a handful of GIANTS and a bunch of smaller ones. It was the year of the nippers for me. No 50s, but a pair of 49s were the biggest. I have no clue how many follows but I would say that its was low. Seems like follows are hard to come by these days. Overall I'm satisfied with my season, but there was a lot less time on the water with friends, which wasn't all that cool. I have some real heartbreakers etched in my memory now too! New boat coming for next year!

Had an awesome yr here in UT .. season started slow but came on strong !!! Put In around 100 days on the water in a 240 day season . We put over 100 fish in the boat between the numerous people I fish with .. over 50 were mine. Highlights in my boat for the season were numerous days with 5-7 tigers landed. Largest fish in my net were : 3@45", 2@46, 1@47", 1 @48" , [email protected], and a giant 50"x24" tiger that I was lucky enough to net for my good buddy ! Insane season ...

With this cold spell and it looks like it will last well into December, my year may be over as well. Boated 30, no giants for me but we did get some decent ones with a 48 for one of my fishing buddies. About an average year for me, I hope the weather warms up enough to get out again if not for musky some big lake browns.

Had a great year going until a craby 40" fish got a hold of my thumb and ended the season by cutting a tendon. Guess he didnt want his picture taken. 75 in the net with 16 over 45". Another 30 either handed off or caught by others in the boat. Cant wait for next year!!! Size and numbers seem to be going up each year.

I had 29 hit the net and about 70 in my boat, a few hundred combined boat follows, 20 or so on the figure 8, 2 first ever muskies, fish from 11 bodies of water, and the big fish was a fat 53 over 40lbs

23 fish in the boat in 293 hrs. Fishing this year was SLOW and challenging. Maybe the highest number of sub 30" fish in the boat since my first season. 46.25" was the biggest, followed by a nice 43" tournament fish. Hoping for an early spring next year and more time on new waters.

Guess I am going to have to ice fish even more this year than last. Gotta make it up somewhere... I spose its good I spent a ton at thorne the other day on stuff to make in the off season. (Saturday mornings go as such. Wake up, make coffee, watch musky hunter, make bait... repeat

14 caught
~ 15 to 20 missed hits or hooked-then-lost
~ 60 to 100 other follows
~ 100 to 150 hours of fishing
Just over 40" average size, 47.5" was the biggest.

Low point was 4 weeks (~ 5 outings) straight without a fish, high point was a 4-fish day that broke my losing streak, followed by 4 nice ones in the next 5 outings.

June and July sucked way worse than usual.

This year was tougher than usual, I thought. I got 37 muskies on the season, I think about 48-50 or so in my boat (I fished alone a lot, too this year). Seems like I'm fishing less and less with each passing season--which isn't the trend I'd like to be on! Although that's only slightly below par for typical numbers, still, it was frustrating for much of the time as a number of patterns that have been historically tried-and-true never really materialized. I had more head-scratching this season than I can remember. Also had a higher-than-normal amount of nippers and short-strikers. Fish were definitely more difficult to trigger at boatside as well. Bigger fish were harder to come by...(it was the first time since 2005 that our LOTW trip9s) didn't result in a 50"+ in the net)....49" was the biggest in my boat this year.

Overall, I'm not complaining...it wasn't a terrible year...just certainly not a great year either.

As far as numbers, I only caught one this year (I was only able to get out twice for the whole year. I know, dismal), but that one fish smashed my personal best. It measured 53.5 inches long (I still have a smile on my face). So even though I wasn't able to get out hardly at all, I would classify this year a huge success (did I mention that I still have a smile on my face?)

We fished 6 days during 2 trips this fall and boated 8 fish: 32", 32" tiger, 34", 40", 41", 42", 44", and 45". After forgetting some fish from previous years, we created a spreadsheet which includes data gathered from pics and videos of every fall trip since 2001.

We just posted the montage to YouTube. Hope it helps you all get through the winter!

Put 4 in the net for myself ranging from 30-48.5" this year with the 48.5" being my personal best. 4 others in the net in the boat which were all peoples firsts which was the highlight of the season. Lost a few low to mid 40" fish, Saw the biggest fish I have ever seen miss my bait. As far as follows we saw a lot this year for the time we had on the water. The boat saw roughly 45-50 follows and we had about 15 outting (days) on the water. With the boys and some newbies we fished a lot of action waters that holds some big fish yet and wasn't uncommon to see 4-8 fish per outting. Not complaining about the season at all. Looking forward to next season already. Tourney fishing was tough this year as we had fishing going and lost a couple of nice fish but still had a great time.

I put 23 in the boat this year with the largest being 48 inches. I also lost more fish this year than ever. 6 over 50 inches I think without measuring. #*^@ bull dawgs! It's a love/hate relationship. Tough year, particularly in Minnesota.

Called it a season today. 133 fish in my boat in 2013 put in roughly 875 hours. 7 over 50. The biggest, and of course highlight for the year, was a 55 x 25.5 that my son caught the day before his 12th birthday.
