| First off the show was awesome with the amount of cool/odd/different/custom stuff that was available, plus alot of nice people. But here in lies the problem, for the amount of people that showed there definatly was not enough room, one consession stand with about a 30 min.line,we tried to get into the small seminar rooms which was standing room only and for the hearing impaired it kinda sucked.i won`t even mention the parking situation!Maybe the amount of people that showed was very much underestimated, with the expectation that building would be suitable but it was extremly tight. So heres hoping that next year maybe the promoters will enlarge the location somewhat. All in all me and the boy picked up our custom slammers, custom reef-hawgs and trophy-divers plus some other secret goodies and finished our 6 hour journy back at the ranch $300.00 + poorer but happy! Handy
P.S-I think M1st forgot my number magnet? |

Location: Greenfield, WI | The parking was a nightmare! But also realize that nearly half of the State Fair Park was either being demolished or under new construction.
Parking will be much better without a doubt next year. The concessions are always an issue there, but Schwartz keeps me tied up in his booth, so I don't get stuck in the lines.
To Handyman and everyone else that stopped by the booth, said hi and bought a custom colored bait or two, Thanks for your business!!

Location: Greenfield, WI | It is probably going to be at least a couple months before any 8" Drop Belly Gliders are available. Bill was so overwelmed at the Milwaukee Muskie Show by the response to the new baits and custom colors that he has to go without food, drink, or poddy breaks to get enough product done prior to the next month's worth of muskie shows!
Thanks again to everyone!!!!! |

Location: oswego, il | I thought the amount of people at the show was about normal. The parking will be better after the renovation for sure. Some great stuff at the show but there were some heavyweight vendors missing that have always been at this show. The show was still a good time, only got to spend 4hrs there and was not enough time to say hi to everybody and see a seminar.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Creatures have always been a red headed stepchild, E. They seem just to wimpy or prissy or something to most muskie anglers, and are just recently enjoying a bit of a comeback because of companies like Musky Innovations.
That's OK with me, I like being 'different'.
By the way, your picture is up. Look at the MuskieFIRST photo album. Nice fish, sir!! |

| Handyman,
Glad you liked the show and it was nice meeting you guys.
With all the construction that's going on with the fair ground's, I figured that parking would suck. Next year things will be find and hope to see you there.
Thanks again! |

| First I agree that the show had some awesome customs available. I bought several from that strange looking guy in the Slammer booth. Take your pick of the 3. Parking was tight for some but we managed to park about 200 yards from the main door. Space for vendors and all at the show was about twice what it was in Chicago.
I was also disappointed by the lack of any of the major retailers. Steve any word on why they weren't there?
In the end, I had a good time, managed to not go broke and made it home safe. Count my blessings I will...

Location: Greenfield, WI | Even though we may think of vendors participating in a show for our convenience. Reality is that each vendor at a show is there because they feel they can likely have more money in their cash register at the end of the day than at the beginning. It is business. If the vendors can't reasonably expect this, they won't be viable for long.
I would expect that there is a business reason for certain vendors not being at the Milwaukee Show.
There could be a conflict with another show, or the cost to come to the show with their wares, rent a booth, and pay their people doesn't justify
the historical payback which past year's have shown.
Scott, I'll ask Thorne Brother's at the Minneapolis Show.
..also don't call Bill Schwartz "a strange looking guy", he is so sensitive
you know!!

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Thorne Bros is just plain too far a drive away. Logistically it doesn't make much sense for them. I think Rollie and Helens may have made a tactical error on this one, as attendance was fantastic.
There were a couple pretty big stores there, and I think they did well.
There is a pretty hefty expense to haul all that stuff 250 miles, stay in hotels, and buy meals, etc. Hard call. |

Location: Hartford, WI | I had a good time at the show, bought some baits, and my brother won a bait and we were only there for like 15 minutes, got to put some faces on names and all in all was a good time, I just wish I would of had more money, because I would of made a lot of the vendors happy.

| Mr. Van Lieshout
I will be more careful with my choice of words next time. Either that or be more specific about how I direct them.

Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | Instead of parking in the lot I parked on a side street and walked in, saved $5, no cluttered parking, only about 4 block walk. Call me cheap I don't care. It's half a bait.
Did anyone see the small Jerko video at the LLungen Booth?
I was very impressed.
They had underwater video which looked very tantalizing. Does anyone out there use these small ones? I can't wait to give them a try! Keith said that they work best for him using a flippin rod, I wonder how they will work with my lightest bucktail rod?

Location: mount prospect illinois | I have a few and they should work well with your lighter musky rods. All depends on your preferences really. Also use a shorter leader. And that guy who made the video i bet is really a handsome dude!!!! |

| IT WAS GREAT TO SEE OLD FACES. SOME EVEN SMILING. I NOTICED 1 OR 2 VENDORS TO BE NOT SO SOCIAL. THE PARKING DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION WAS A BIT OF A PAIN BUT AFTER LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SHOW FOR SO LONG IT WAS WORTH IT. I NOTICED THAT THERE WERN'T TO MANY SELLING ROD AND REELS COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEARS BUT THAT JUST MADE ME HANG ON TO MY MONEY AWHILE LONGER. THE MUSKIE FISHING GUYS AND GALS IN THE AREA ARE GREAT AND IT IS ALWAYS FUN TO SPEND TIME DURING THE OFF TIME TO TALK ABOUT UPCOMING TRIPS AND CATCHING UP.....LOLDENNIS |
