Hi Guys,

I am new to the musky fishing game and this is my first fall musky fishing. I heard rubber baits are good for the fall, so I decided to pick up a few medusa's, I think the mini models. My question is what is the best way to present this bait? Also, 2 reels a 300ej and 400B which should I use to throw these medusas? Any info is appreciated!

Thanks in advance

I would use a slow pumping up and down retrieve. Use the 400B.

And in the fall, big rubber is better. Get the regular or even better yet, pounder Medusa.

If you can, I'd take back the minis and get the regular or monster sized ones. You can straight reel it, slow roll it, jerk it, rip it, retrieve for a bit and then jerk and repeat. I'd go whichever has the highest retrieve rate as you'll want it after a rip or jerk to pick up line as they tend to hit on the pause.

300ej works well w/the mini Dusas.

Make sure to always quickly reel up the slack as when they hit during the fall/pause, it will be hard to feel with any slack.
