| Last time out I had a line guide break on me and fall out when I dropped it, the 3rd one up from the handle. It was on my main rod. So, I tried a temporary fix with some electrical tape formed around the guide, since I was only going to fish a couple hours and because when I checked the line was not rubbing on the guide during retrieve. I usually have 3 rods in the boat, an XH 9' (which was the guide that broke), XXH for large rubber and a 7'6" jerkbait setup. Besides switching rods, does anyone have another suggestion for what to do if this happens in the future while on the water? | |
