| Hey Guys:
I have gotten away from the huge Lakewood musky monster box and went to the clear plastic Plano stowaway boxes.
I bought the tackle bag and 6 boxes from Gander Mountain a few years back. Problem is it's a pain in the butt to zipper and of course I have more boxes now than will fit in the tackle bag.
I know alot of you store them in the boat storage itself.
What else do you guys store these in? I would like it to be waterproof, so I was thinking some sort of Rubbermaid or Sterilite plastic box with a latching lid?

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | I stow mine in the livewell, and under the rear deck lid's on top of the TM batteries and the fuel tank. Esox Maniac is one big floating tackle box! I also have two crates with handles (similar to the milk crates) and a Lakewood box. A word of caution, be sure you have the Plano boxes stowed when you take off at full throttle if you have a high performance boat! Also, be sure to open them up when you get home so any water can evaporate.

| mine are stacked on a shelf in the garage then i grab the 3 or 4 i want to take out and toss them into the boat each trip

| I've got the magnum bag from Cabelas. It holds 8 3700's and 4 of the 3600 boxes in the front and side pouches. It's small enough to carry and not be in the way, and big enough for a good assortment of lures.
They do make a bigger one that holds 12 - 3700's, but that seemed a little extreme considering that you maybe use 10 lures on a really bad day.
I haven't used it in the rain yet, but I was thinking about spraying it with camp dry or something. One nice thing is that the bottom is all molded rubber, so it won't soak up water from the boat carpet or when you're taking waves over the front on a rough day.

| Big generic duffle. If I'm hitting up the dock after work for an hour then I pack 2-3 boxes in a backpack w/ all the necessary release tools. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Here's a fairly cool thing I saw on someone's boat at a landing on Leech. I wished I had taken a pic. He said he used a plastic welder to construct. He had rod lockers on both sides of his boat had a flat piece of plastic that went into the rod locker under the lid to hold it in place then he had four sections of L plastic going upright, one on each corner. Each device held four labeled big Plano storage boxes in place on the front deck in front of the consoles. They were approx. 20" high. He had a support running the top edge except in front. Looked like they worked slick. If this is a M1st guy post a pic please. |
