Location: Hayward WI | Ok, not a muskie, but I thought this was a cool pic from last nite. Shore fishing and had this walleye gulp a husky jerk.

Location: Hayward WI | Yes there is a leader. The thick green line is 30lb Tyger leader material. I was trying to catch walleyes, but use the leader to prevent bite-offs.
Sorry Gerard, not enough for you.

Location: Hayward, WI | Now there's a feeding fish! Cool picture, and must have been a nice fish to inhale what I'm guessing was a #10 Husky Jerk.
I usually use a 12-15 pound flouro leader on my walleye stickbaits. I'm sure if a musky inhaled the whole thing they'd cut me off pretty easily but it keeps the common snake pike from taking any Rapalas from me. I'm sure at night it wouldn't make much difference what kind of leader was used. |
