I have a question regarding trolling pounds of thrust vs speed. My other trolling motor was a Maxxum 74 and it pushed the boat (618vs) at 2.2-2.4 miles per hour. I would like to do some trolling on an electric only lake. How fast do you think a Terrova 80 and 101 would push me? Thanks

i have a 101 and it gets my boat up to 5.5. problem is you have to run full throttle and the batteries burn up pretty quick. with a full charge i can maintain 5.5 for about an hour after that power drops off pretty quick.

I think I will hold out til next spring for the Terrova 112 so I can maintain the speed better over time.

On a 620 hull, my 80 pulled me about 2.8 and my 101 pulls me now at 3.4 over calm water.
