| Couple variables: size/depth of lake, latitude, and yearly temperature differences. Also presence of currents will affect.
So...really depends on the year and where you're at. Usually late November/early December here in northern Wisconsin. |

Location: Dixon, IL | I like ice fishing and sometime ice fishing as early as Thanksgiving weekend. Large and deep lake stay open much longer than small and shallow lake. |
