Location: Madison, WI | this is kind of a Ford vs Chevy thing, but I prefer Beckman just because they are so much lighter than frabill. Both make extremely nice nets and you cant go wrong with either. Now if only i could make a Beckman fin saver with a Frabill power lock yoke that would be my ultimate net! |

Location: Wisconsin | Really like my frabil big game. Did some research here and felt it was the best for me from what I read. Plenty big, yet can be used solo as I am by myself a lot. Many said that if primarily fishing trophy waters with a partner, the big kahuna was the way to go. Others brands seem to have more issues with fish/baits tangling in the net.
So for me, the big game has been great. |

| Before you buy a Frabil, check out the Beckman's first. They are lighter than the Frabils. |

Before you buy a Beckman, check out the Frabill self aligning handle first. It is much easier to extend by yourself or if your partner has a fish on the line at the boat. |

that still doesn't guarantee you will lock the yoke. I'll take my beckman over the heavy Frabill any day. |

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | I prefer the Frabil over the Beckman I had, Beckman seemed to tangle hooks bad and was a pain locking the yoke.... No issues handeling my Powert Catch alone and I'm a pretty small guy at 145# |

| I just picked up the frabill conservation series net and love it. Same hoop size as big game but lighter and deeper bag. My dad got the big game about a week after me so we will see how they hold up in comparison to each other. yoke is great... Deep bag is great for keeping fish in the water at boat side. Slimed it a few times this season. I found my conservation series for $125 so its a good value also. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | as a longtime Beckman owner I would have to say...Frabill is a better choice, hands down. And for those worried about the weight the conservation series net is still fairly light and has a huge bag. |

Location: Madison | I've had two Frabills. Loved them both. Great to have the locking handle, especially when I'm flying solo. Shaley hit it on the money...I've been in boats with Beckmans, they do tangle bad with hooks and when fish gator roll. Plus the Frabill is better on the muskies fins. +1 for Frabill |

| ANY net that does not hurt the fish and is big and deep enough to keep the fish submerged is a great net - regardless of which logo is on it.
Keep in mind that the nets with those logos we all recognize carry a product that was built with serious fishing in mind. If you see any kind of personal flaw in the net you use, remember, each brand has a variety of options and configurations to choose from. Faulting the manufacture should not even be considered if you buy a brand new net and then find something you don't like about it.
I acquired a Frabill from a buddy a long time ago... The larger bags on the smaller hoops are the way to go if you like the extra room in the boat. I have been using the same net for about 7-8 years and after all those Muskies, including some big Flatheads and the Muskies my friend caught with it before adoption, its still in great shape. Needless to say, Frabill would be the first brand of net I look at if I ever need another. |

| I would say Frabill for sure. I used Beckman for years when they were local here, but switched because I liked the Frabill better. Yes the Beckmans are lighter, but the frame and hoop bends very easy, the new bags are terrible fish rip threw them very easy. I work for a Charter Captain on St. Clair every summer for a month when My water gets too hot here, he uses Beckman's he just got a new one the day I got there this year, we had 2 fish rip right threw the side of the bag the second week we used it only put around 200 fish in it and it was destroyed and bent out of shape very badly.
I have a Frabill big game power catch with over 2000 fish in it and still has original bag no rips or tears and have never bent any part of frame.

| I used the Beckman and then switched to the Frabill. The Beckman works fine, but the Frabill is just better. The yoke is the key and the fin saver bag really helps as well. I use the Power Catch in my 17.5 ft boat. Big Kahuna is great, but it way too much net for my boat. Power Catch really fits nicely. |

Location: Lake of the Woods, Morson, Ontario | I can never figure out why a net isn't yoked up whenever you are on the water fishing. Makes no sense to me to take chances with that. Happened a couple times in my boat before it was decreed never to happen again. Yeah I get the fact it is a space issue, but has to be a way a net can sit yoked up without causing too much trouble?
That being said. I like the Beckman Magnum XD with fin saver pen because it's lighter for newbies to handle and I can slip it under the flush mount cleats on my boat to hold the fish in the water with the hoop on the gunnel.

Location: Minnesota Metro | Totally agree, first thing I do when I'm out is lock the net and stash it in an easily accessible area. I also agree with the Beckman for the sheer ease of netting fish. My ex wife was always netting my fish for me, and she was all of 5'1 and 95 pounds soaking wet. The Frabils were just too heavy for her to handle, and I prefer how light they are too.

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | I fish by myself the majority of the time and the power catch big game is awesome. Yes it's a little heavier than a beckman but easily manageable. My better half isn't even 5' and can easily handle it even in heavy current. My 10 year old has also netted around a dzen fish with it. Beckmans that a few buddies have the fish and bait are always a tangled mess usually so bad you're cutting hooks and net just to ne able to get the nasty mess undone and the poor fishes head back in the water. The frabil hasn't once done that in four seasons and many nice fish through it. Get a power catch with the knotless tangle free neetting you won't be sorry. |

Location: Sawyer County, WI | I did quite a bit of research before going with Frabill and after 6 years I'm still pleased with the choice. Yes, they are a bit heavier than the Beckman but that's a problem that's easily cured by spending a few hours in the gym. |

Location: Waukesha, WI | Love my Frabill Power Catch. Plenty big and never tangles. Handle is great too but when the net goes in my boat its always extended so it will always be ready. I dont want to worry about extending my net while fighting a fish. Ive had my net for about 6 years and still love it.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | My Frabill CS Muskie net is quite light and has been flawless all year. No need to deploy the handle, because when one picks up the net and pulls the handle lifting the hoop, the handle locks one handed, effortlessly and every time. Netting doesn't get all tangled up in the fish, and takes good care of their fins. Works for me. |
